With Audio Day and your Listening Personality
Spotify Wrapped 2025 is now available
On Wednesday, Spotify published its 2022 Wrapped recaps, which examine the information on your musical preferences for the year.
This year's Wrapped has additional features like a tracker of your musical mood swings throughout the day and a Myers-Briggs-style "listening" personality type. As usual, Wrapped also compiles your personal top artists, genres, songs, podcasts, and Spotify listening time.
One of the most well-liked features on the streaming service, Wrapped, also serves as the centerpiece of the company's major marketing initiatives of the year. Since Spotify has the largest user base of any streaming music service in the world, its annual statistics summary is a good indicator of global listening trends.
The Wrapped recaps for this year include:
- Your Listening Personality: Based on your listening preferences this year, users are divided into 16 music personas, such as the Deep Diver, Replayer, Adventurer, or Fanclubber.
- Spotify defines your mood for the morning, day, and night in a feature called Audio Day, which provides a progressive glimpse at how your listening habits changed over the day. Evidently, part of my morning attitude is "somber friendly," whatever that term means.
- Your Artist Comments: Spotify is adding occasional video cameos from major musicians to qualified listeners' Wrapped recaps, building on a feature from last year. Over 100 artists recorded thank-you messages for fans for Spotify last year.
